Tiia Turunen

I'm a 39 years old mother of three. Our family is bilingual (Finnish/Swedish). We moved from Helsinki to Karjaa about 10 years ago.

I have a Master of Arts degree and I'm a qualified Finnish teacher. At the moment, I teach Finnish for immigrants that are studying to become care assistants or home-based childcare practitioners.

My hobbies are reading books, playing the piano, handicrafts and hunting. I also assist in coaching a sport club.

I up for election in both municipal elections (Kuntavaalit) and in county elections (Aluevaalit).

My main electoral themes in Kuntavaalit:

- High quality education and vast selection of elective courses can become a

competitive advantage for Raasepori.

- Functional public transportation

- Transparent and fair local politics

My main electoral themes in Aluevaalit:

- Länsi-Uusimaan hyvinvointialue (The Länsi-Uusimaa Wellbeing services county) is more than just Espoo.

- All decisions need to be based on equity and the well-being of the population.
